This lesson was developed to exposed the children to research writing and to integrate iPad usage in the classroom. This whole project will be worked on during the week of testing ao the children will incorporate reading, writing, and social studies, and technology skills.
The lesson started as a reading lesson and then grew into research. We had been reading about the Dust Bowl from various sources and began to connect what was read to previously learned materials in Social Studies. Using a KWL chart, the students developed specific topics of interest that related to the Dust Bowl.
